Beginning January 1, 2013 and thereafter Marrakech will limit the number of lateral/substitute position applications and moves. When a regular employee is in their six-month introductory period The Human Resources Department will not accept applications to transfer to a new position or to a substitute position. Staff can apply for a concurrent position.

*Please note that you can only apply for 1 internal position at a time, unless you are in a temporary position.

SUMMARY

The Job Coach will work with students on an as needed (per diem) basis who have minimal work experience to support them in work experiences with the goal of maximizing their capabilities for working in a competitive environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Assisting with recruiting business associates for informational interviewing, job shadowing, and work-based experiences.
  • Assist with calling students and providing them with their sessions and work schedules.
  • Provides on-the-job training (off-site locations) to ensure that each student's service plan or coaching goals are met.
  • Observes and documents workers' behaviors and process in the vocational assessment and/or case notes.
  • Assists in the completion of vocational assessments. Asks for assistance from co-workers and supervisors when unsure of job duty, site description and refers to program policies for job clarification.
  • Conducts/advocates for activities/employment that will increase economic self-sufficiency (i.e. increase workers' earnings and hours).
  • Ensures workers' compliance with all community worksite rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Acts as liaison between employer and student.
  • Evaluates the daily performance of program student and make pertinent recommendations to the staff that designated your assignment with the participant.


EDUCATION/ REQUIREMENTS



  • High school diploma or GED with three to six months of related experience and/or training required.

To provide residential, employment, support, referral, and advocacy services to people with disabilities and people with similar service needs to assist them in exercising their human rights as citizens and as contributing members of society.
