Job Description

The Global Clients Senior Manager is a newly created role within the VCA Global Client Strategy & Operations team. This position offers an opportunity to help refine the global operating models and cultural DNA for a "global region" business unit at Visa. The role is responsible for increasing Visa's strategic value to the clients, growing client and Visa revenue, and strengthening executive relationships by enabling strategic growth opportunities through Visa's Global Account Executives. The candidate will play a vital role in areas such as strategy and planning, reporting and analytical insights development, thought leadership, executive business reviews, and other business operations activities in close partnership with the Vice President of Global Client Strategy & Operations, the SVP & Head of Global Clients, Global Client Leadership Teams, and various leaders across Visa business functions.

The successful candidate will be an intellectually curious strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities, ideally with a background in management consulting, business operations, and payments/fintech, coupled with Value-In-Kind ("VIK") incentive funding experience.

This position is full-time. Location can be flexible, but Atlanta, Washington DC or Austin is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities

Operational Excellence:

  • Act as key consultant for Global Client team in VIK drawdown operation in partnership with VIK stakeholder group including Finance, Controllership and Legal.

  • Act as cross regional VIK usage coordinator for smooth execution. Continually refine as more lessons learned.

  • Work with regional sales excellence and VIK champions to ensure VIK planning at global account team level is aligned with regional planning and problem solve where necessary.

  • Support development of standardized templates and frameworks to boost client satisfaction and cross-regional project sales and execution

  • Work with GTM/Sales Enablement Team lead to ensure identified blockers are tracked, actioned and documented on by relevant parties.

  • Identify opportunities to reduce friction, simplify and globally standardize Visa processes

  • Develop open forums for teams to share and learn from Global Clients projects, identify partnership opportunities and spur ideas

  • Identify and leverage opportunities to support knowledge on products and services from other Visa functions e.g., VAS, CMS etc.

Business Development Support:

  • Identify common denominator needs and pain points across global clients and work to align Visa's operations and resources to deliver more client impact, ensuring focus on important variances, trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.

  • Enable cross-regional project / solutions sales and execution

  • Partner with Global Clients account teams and VCA regional leads to manage and grow client relationships at a global scale

  • Partner with the Global Client Strategy & Planning teams to create key reporting and manage opportunities that are signed but not live to ensure acceleration of time to revenue. Monitor Global Client pipeline to identify and drive engagement opportunities to the regions

  • Support acceleration of revenue for priority VAS products relevant to Visa 2030 by setting VIK strategy and coordinating solutions and account teams.

  • Collaborate with Revenue Acceleration team on key strategic assessments and initiatives, including program and project management across a global matrix organization.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • Have worked on deal / contract clause construction as a business stakeholder (not legal) as well as worked with critical contract administration groups to drive efficiencies.
  • Strategic thinker with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills and comfortable with ambiguity in some scenarios
  • Superior executive presence with superb presentation skills who can lead and influence, including strong oral and writing capabilities
  • Demonstrated success in developing & executing global strategies within a highly matrixed organization with consistently excellent results
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work with a sense of urgency and execute under tight deadlines/timeframes and thrives in pressurized business situations (strong project and/or program management experience)
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and adept at multi-tasking and adapting to evolving priorities
  • Highly proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and Word with a desire to learn about and utilize other online tools and platforms
  • Natural collaborator, team oriented, diplomatic, and flexible, with demonstrated capacity to function in a matrixed organization
  • Inherently excited about building new processes, testing & evaluating operating models, continuous improvement, and transforming hearts & minds while working with passionate colleagues at the global payments industry leader
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $127,400 to $175,500 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
