Position Purpose







This position is responsible for assisting the compensation team with day-to-day duties related to the administration of all compensation programs and systems. This position monitors the compensation request system and ensures requests are routed to the proper staff member.








Nature and Scope







This position is responsible for assisting in the administration of all compensation programs. Assists in the new job creation process, job evaluations, compensation surveys, group salary adjustments, merit programs and Pay For Performance. Duties include updating job descriptions, creating position codes, preparing compensation data sheets, reviewing compensation audit reports and researching and resolving discrepancies, and preparing various reports. Maintains and keeps track of compensation metrics. Assists in developing documentation for compensation processes and procedures and standards of work. Works with Human Resources staff on various employee issues regarding compensation. Maintain and update compensation data in HRIS system and Pay for Performance system.

This role requires efficient decision-making and coordination of conflicting workload priorities. The incumbent must be able to perform the functions quickly and accurately. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and work overtime. Must respond to employee and management requests in a timely manner, keep aware of current regulations, policies and procedures, process changes in an accurate and timely manner, and be proficient with applicable computer programs used to maintain data files and generate reports. This role requires the ability to understand and resolve complex problems in a timely and effective manner using critical thinking skills, and to keep current with new developments and acquire the needed knowledge for the position in order to keep skill sets up to date.

The major challenge to this position is handling multiple high priority tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy within established deadlines, and is subject to interruptions. The position must be able to handle questions and problems in an empathetic, professional, and effective manner.

Education:



Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred. Proven experience in a similar role may be substituted for degree.



Experience:



Minimum 2 years' experience with various Human Resources programs and processes. Experience in compensation programs and processes preferred.

Computer / Typing:



Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, etc.
