Scope:

  • This Quality Systems Engineer is responsible for operating the Quality Management System (QMS), writing procedures and processes to support the QMS development. Lead and undertake audits across all areas of the business as well as across the supply chain. Provide training to and champion the Quality Management System. Work on many phases or sub-tasks of projects or entire projects of moderate complexity, with results impacting on project completion. Work under general supervision, reviewed at project milestones and/or on completion by Management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer Corrective Action System
    • Enter Customer CARs as provided by Customer Quality Engineers.
    • Issue Internal CARs as directed by management, and resulting from internal, customer, or 3rd party audits, calibration failures, etc.
    • Issue Supplier CARs as directed by management.
    • Evaluate all CARs for adequacy and effectiveness
  • Administer Internal Audit System
    • Publish audit schedule as approved by management.
    • Assign internal audits.
    • Conduct internal audits.
    • Write audit reports.
    • Assist in training internal auditors.
    • Conduct supplier audits as directed by management.
    • Assist with customer and 3rd party audits as directed by management
    • Manage OASIS (AS9100) and/or eAuditNet (Nadcap) database registration
  • NCR responses, audit scheduling.
    • Publish audit schedule as approved by management.
    • Assign internal audits.
    • Evaluate new and revised documents for adequacy.
    • Complete customer surveys and questionnaires.
    • Administer update of the Master Equipment List and IPC-1710 at intervals.
    • Assist with document and record retention for the above functions.
    • Facilitate Technical Review Board meetings and maintain TRB records
  • Relationship Management
    • Liaise with Process Engineers and Management to implement an effective, documented process that defines product Quality requirements, best practice and training materials to support continuous improvement initiatives
    • Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers
    • Liaise with customers and supply chain partners
    • Communicate efficiently throughout the shop floor Engineering, and Management

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of quality systems
  • Working knowledge of business systems
  • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Strong knowledge of ISO9001/AS9100, NADCAP, and MIL Standards preferred
  • Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) a plus
  • Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes a plus

Education and Experience:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent specialized experience
  • 5 plus years experience, experience negotiating with customers and suppliers

Preferred Experience:

  • Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing skills a plus
  • Previous experience in a high volume manufacturing environment
  • Relevant business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering degree preferred, or equivalent experience working in a Quality Systems/Quality Assurance role
Compensation and Benefits:

TTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefit programs. Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire. For some positions, only PTO and holiday benefits are offered.

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$83,515 - $139,191

Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition ofForeign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
