Bruker is dedicated to enhancing efficiency and innovation in our warehouse operations. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team for the summer and contribute to our warehouse optimization project.

As a Warehouse Optimization Intern, you will work closely with our Operations team to improve warehouse efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance in a manufacturing environment. This internship offers hands-on experience in various aspects of warehouse management, logistics and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Warehouse Layout Optimization: Assist in designing and implementing an efficient warehouse layout to maximize space utilization and streamline workflows.
  • Flexible Floorplan: Help create and adapt floorplans to optimize space and workflow based on changing inventory and processes.
  • Inventory Management: Support the implementation of inventory tracking systems and help manage stock levels to reduce excess inventory. Support introduction of a cycle counting program.
  • Automation and Technology Integration: Participate in the roll-out of SAP Warehouse Management software to automate tasks and improve accuracy.
  • Safety and Compliance: Contribute to maintaining high safety standards and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Shipping and Logistics: Assist in developing partnerships with shipping providers and optimizing shipping schedules and routes.
  • Data Analytics: Collect and analyze data from warehouse processes to identify areas for improvement and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Quality Control: Participate in quality control processes to ensure products meet standards before shipping.


Qualifications

  • Rising senior or graduate level student currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Interest in warehouse operations and optimization in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Basic AutoCAD skills desired but not required.
  • Prior experience with SAP S/4 HANA desired but not required.
