Why M Physicians?

The EMG Technologist performs basic nerve conduction studies under the supervision of a physician. This position will work at different sites and to meet EMG needs. They will measure electrical activity in peripheral nerves using an electromyograph (EMG) instrument for use by the physician in diagnosing neuromuscular disorders.

What you will do as an EMG Technologist:

  • Performs electromyography studies using nerve conduction techniques and digital filtering in testing
  • Follows established procedures in determining effects of temperature in clinical neurophysiology
  • Assures availability and accurate function of supplies and equipment
  • Cleans, replenishes, and maintains instruments and supplies as needed
  • Participates in the evaluation of new equipment or supplies
  • Assists other members of the team with cleaning of procedure room and preparation for patient
  • Adheres to standards of clinical practice and patient care appropriate to the age and state of the patient
  • Respects confidentiality of all information in compliance with HIPAA standards
  • Demonstrates ability to deliver care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level of population served (as applicable)

What you will need:

  • As a Certified EMG Technologist: EMG certification AND 2+ years of EMG experience
  • As a Non-Certified EMG Technologist: Graduation from accredited EMG or EEG training course with previous EEG or EMG experience AND EMG certification must be attained within 2 years of hire (registration within 1 year)

If selected for hire, compensation and job classification will be individually determined based on a candidate's specific background, including licensure, certifications, and experience level.

Location: M Health Fairview Clinic and Surgery Center - 909 Fulton St. SE Minneapolis, MN 55455

Hours: 40 hours/week

Compensation:

27.02 - 41.92 USD Hourly
