As part of Detection and Measurement, Sealite is a leading designer and manufacturer of marine aids to navigation (AtoN) equipment. Offering the broadest portfolio of solutions including marine lighting, navigation buoys, marine floats, port entry lighting systems, lighthouse lighting, and monitoring and control systems, we help people transverse the world safely by sea.

Position Title: Production Planning Specialist

Reports To: Warehouse and Materials Planning Supervisor

Responsibilities: As a Materials Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials within the production process. Your primary focus will be on production planning, ensuring that materials are available to meet production schedules and customer delivery dates.

Duties:

  1. Follow safe work practices and procedures and ensure a "safety first" culture in every task undertaken.
  2. Timely delivery of production paperwork to the production floor.
  3. Daily maintenance of production paperwork.
  4. Coordinate with production and material teams to identify material needs and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  5. Monitor actual production and the schedule closely, identifying potential issues, errors and areas of improvement.
  6. Liaise closely with purchasing, customer service and operational teams ensuring customer delivery dates are achieved and up to date information is provided.
  7. Review and correct and COGI errors daily.
  8. Update internal sales notes with information regarding delays or lead times of open orders.
  9. Answer general inquiries.
  10. Perform any other duties as reasonably directed.

Minimum Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A highly developed analytical and organisational ability.
  • Hands-on approach to monitoring progress and make sure plans are adhered to.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills.
  • Customer focused with a positive can-do attitude.
