General Purpose of Job: Reporting to the Regional Director of Marketing, the Marketing Specialist will assist in the creation, implementation, and measurement of marketing strategies and programs for assigned service lines and project areas for the University of Michigan Health Regional Network, including UM Health-Sparrow and UM Health-West. The marketing specialist provides comprehensive support and assistance with day-to-day activities, exercising independent judgment and creativity. Coordinates and assists with project management by developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets and workflows. Communicates effectively with clients for project timelines and updates. Essential Duties
- Serves as marketing lead for assigned service lines and departments, working with internal and external stakeholders to adequately assess marketing needs and drive strategic growth.
- In conjunction with department and service line leaders, develops and deploys marketing and communication plans on time and on budget.
- Provide project management and evaluation for assigned projects.
- Work collaboratively with marketing department colleagues including internal communications and public relations personnel, as well as operations and clinical department staff
- Recommend and implement projects that fall within service-line budgets.
- Conduct competitive assessments and benchmarking initiatives.
- Leads with a proactive approach to project management by anticipating project pitfalls and facilitating problem-solving tactics.
- Communicates effectively and appropriately with clients, vendors and agencies as a support contact for project timelines and updates.
- Facilitates smooth transition and open communication on projects that require teamwork across departments.
- Upholds brand guidelines across all marketing channels.
- Oversees the production of service line marketing materials, including print, digital, and video.
- Identifies opportunities to coordinate consistent messaging across our Regional Network and statewide marketing activities.
- Writes and edits marketing and communications materials, including brochures, fact sheets, website content, video scripts, news articles and other materials as assigned

Specialized Knowledge and Skills |
* Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products. * Knowledge of office procedures. * Ability to organize multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Experience in managing project budgets. * Healthcare experience preferred |
