Introduction

Founded in 1984, ASML is the world's leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, manufacturing complex machines that are critical to the production of integrated circuits or chips. ASML has its headquarters in Veldhoven the Netherlands and has R&D and manufacturing operations in North America, Asia and the Netherlands.

The IT division supports information management, infrastructure and automation and optimization of key business processes across ASML. The ICT infrastructure, hardware and applications are absolutely mission-critical for almost all ASML's internal and external activities.

Currently the ASML IT department is in an Agile Transformation, in which SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework 5.0) will be implemented.

Your Mission as a Release Train Engineer/Scrum Master

Your teammates and environment

This role is situated in the CLS Enterprise Applications domain. We are organized into 2 DevOps teams supporting more than a dozen enterprise applications and their integrations. More than 1000 users depend on our services to effectively operate our business.

The role will be support the two key teams. The composition and number of teams can change based on your experience and recommendations.

Cymer Light Source (CLS) - Installed Base

Teams in Value Stream CLS - Installed base are responsible for the care and servicing of our 5000+ systems at customer sites worldwide. 85% of our revenue is through the Oracle EBS service contracts module that this team is responsible for maintaining. Besides Oracle, other custom systems are in place to ensure that our field service engineering workforce has the most complete and up-to-date instructions and reference material needed to support this fleet of light sources and other systems.

Cymer Light Source (CLS) - Materials, Finance, and Integrations

Teams in the this group collaborate with manufacturing, planning, finance, procurement, engineering, logistics, and other groups to maintain and improve Oracle EBS, Agile, and a host of supporting applications. Integrations to 20+ internal and external systems are key to our landscape.

Your responsibilities

As the Release Train Engineer:

  • Facilitate the CLS Applications Agile Release Train's value delivery
  • Plan and organize quarterly Planning Increment events:
    • Architecture reviews
    • Demos
    • Planning Day
    • Draft Plan Review
    • Management Review
    • Inspect & Adapt Session
  • Facilitate weekly meetings of the leading coalition
  • Servant leadership and coaching
  • Collaborate with CLS Analytics to ensure effective cross-ART interaction
  • Collect and report ART metrics to the leading coalition
  • Track and manage dependencies and risks on a quarterly basis
  • Provide insight and metrics to leadership for the MOR
  • Manage CLS Apps space in Jira Align and our teams' effective use of the tool

As the Scrum Master:

  • Facilitate Agile Ceremonies including stand ups, refinements, planning meetings, innovation periods, and retrospectives
  • Identify and remove blockers or impediments for team members
  • Organize and track process improvement experiments for teams' way of working
  • 1:1 coaching
  • Engage with the portfolio and the small data council on project approval and tracking
  • Manage USAPPS project in Jira and our teams' effective use of the tool

Other duties include reporting to calculate resource utilization and performance.

Responsibilities will change as the successful candidate grows into the role.

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for an enabler, a professional who has a strong leadership mentality and has a strong background in project management or similar roles. Having acted in complex agile environments is key for success.

You need to be able to showcase expertise on scoping, planning, managing, execution and control of the projects within your ART. It's not only hard skills that create the success, it's the personal side that will be your success factor.

Summarized:

  • At least 5 years experience in the project management domain;
  • At least 5 years experience acting in similar positions in an agile setting;

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:

$124,875-208,125

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.

The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company's 401k plan. Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
