The Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana Marketing and Communications department seeks a creative and motivated Social Media Producer Intern to support the creation and distribution of content across multiple platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Google My Business, X, and more). This role is ideal for a candidate who is passionate about social media marketing, storytelling, and digital content production and is eager to grow their skills in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: Content Creation & Management:
Develop multimedia stories-primarily video-based-from concept through publication. Create short-form videos (reels), photography, and graphic design elements to enhance storytelling. Assist in managing email marketing campaigns, company websites, and social media outreach (e.g., Meta, LinkedIn).
Event Support & Storytelling:
Attend company and community events (e.g., store openings, fundraisers) to capture promotional content. Conduct interviews, write scripts, and produce dynamic content for Goodwill's various platforms.
Social Media Management:
Support day-to-day management of Goodwill's social and digital media accounts. Help monitor engagement, manage posting schedules, and contribute creative ideas to grow reach.
Professional Representation:
Represent Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana positively, providing excellent customer service and adhering to company guidelines and values. Handle public requests and concerns in a friendly and fair manner.
General Support:
Assist with additional projects or related duties as assigned. Participate in virtual (Google Meet/Zoom) and in-person meetings/trainings. Travel to various sites around central and southern Indiana as needed (mileage reimbursed).
Required Competencies:
Industry Knowledge - Skilled in social media content creation, video production, and photography for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Strong storytelling and communication skills with experience using digital tools for content management. Ability to represent the organization professionally and provide excellent customer service. Communication Skills - Articulates thoughts and expresses ideas effectively using oral, written, visual, and non-verbal communication skills, as well as listening skills to comprehend customer and employee needs. Delivers information in person, in writing, and in a digital world. Organizational Aptitude - Attends to details and pursues quality in accomplishing multiple tasks in an organized and timely fashion.
Preferred Competencies:
Content Creation & Storytelling - Strong ability to identify compelling story angles and create engaging visual and written content for various audiences. Basic video shooting and editing skills required. Technical Proficiency - Comfortable using tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Hootsuite, Google Workspace, and related platforms.
