Senior Manager, Portfolio and Business Management, ADC/Datastream

Lead the delivery of an end-to-end technology and workforce transformation program for the >150 person Analytics Data Cloud / Datastream organization, which encompasses 20+ technology platforms and multiple Important Business Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build positive relationships with the key partners, innovating with product management, business transformation and various other technology groups tightly connected to this technology transformation program.
  • Oversee, with full budgetary accountability, financial management for the organization.
  • Collaborate and work closely with other group technology functions to ensure that business and technical needs are addressed.
  • Lead critical path work, schedule items, and escalate to leadership on potential risks and delays.
  • Drives cost efficiency of delivery and maintenance through technology and process innovation.
  • Implement a strong governance and risk management framework for technology delivery to identify risks early and to ensure appropriate reporting and remedial actions are undertaken to keep delivery on track.
  • Assist the Director with all administrative aspects of the day-to-day running of the organization, including frequent special projects.
  • Oversee the work of area program managers

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in Portfolio and Business Management on a broad scale. Financial Data Technology experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to champion culture change while leading a multi-year strategic program.
  • Strong proficiency in program management with a history of delivery complicated programs.
  • Able to lead in a highly matrixed organization, work with, and accept feedback from, a wide variety of collaborators, communicate complicated issues to senior decision makers, focusing on relevant details and considerations.
  • Ability to analyze / review and work across various functions such as Business, Operations, Legal, Compliance and Regulation and comfortable communicating/presenting to all levels internally and externally
  • Ability to present confidently to C-Level stakeholders

Drives the direction and delivery of major, high-risk programmes to achieve strategic objectives and transformational change.

Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

  • Monitors overall progress of the programme, with particular focus on budgets, key milestones, resources, and dependencies
  • Provides overall programme leadership, guidance and technical expertise to manage all aspects of a programme including requirements analysis, business case creation, planning and execution
  • Holds ultimate accountability for delivery, managing programmes with great complexity, impact, risk, budget variances and change requests
  • Aligns programmes to the strategic delivery, portfolio and transformation direction, ensuring prioritisation of key projects and devising new ideas and initiatives to support the organisation
  • Produces reports for senior management and stakeholders on the progress of the programme against objectives and plans, highlighting any improvement areas and the requirements to correct them
  • Promotes and fosters collaboration across broad categories of stakeholders (including customers), providing leadership in cross-functional meetings and representing the seniority of the programme or senior stakeholders in governance boards and committees
  • Collaborates with the Head of Project & Programme Delivery to ensure the programme achieves objectives and aligns with business priorities
  • Leads, coaches, and mentors programme and project managers within the programme, setting performance and delivery expectations to yield consistent results, whilst highlighting and promoting successful practices across the organisation
  • Ensures all projects adhere to LSEG Group Standards for project methodology, governance and risk management.
  • Ensure visibility of ongoing cost base and project finance for the organization
  • Track and manage departmental budgets in alignment with finance

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Business Management, Finance or similar
  • Demonstrable experience in portfolio management, business operations, transformation or other related field

Compensation/Benefits Information:

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $140,000 - $233,400. Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/"bonus plan"). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match.
