Are you a subject matter expertise in project management, scope definition, risk identification, methodology and resource allocation or facilitation? Join us to define scope, performance, results and you may assist management with vendors and service providers. It's a plus if you're working towards certification in project management.

This position provides project coordinator support to Employee Health & Safety and Infection Control in the Washington and Oregon markets, conducting monitoring and tracking of employee compliance to the minimum requirements per United Health Group/Optum guidelines.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Monitoring and tracking compliance report for Employee Occupational Health and Safety (EOHS) programs:

    • Respiratory Protection Program
    • Proof of Immunity Program
    • Tuberculosis Program
    • Flu and COVID Vaccine Program
    • Color Vision Screening Program


  • Coordinate and provide administrative support during EHS/IP meetings

    • Monthly department huddles
    • Monthly Safety Committee Meetings
    • Escalation Huddles
    • Program Meetings
    • IC Program Meetings


  • Provides outreach and follow-up to employees at 22 Oregon Medical Group locations and 240 Optum Care WA locations for scheduling of fit testing, immunizations and testing
  • Primary administration and coordination of the tracking and monitoring of inclusion/exclusion criteria and annual fit testing compliance per OSHA standards.
  • Assist in planning team social and special events
  • Coordination safety and infection control policy and procedure updates, reviews, editing, formatting and maintenance in accordance with document retention standards
  • Supports infection preventionists with metric tracking of the following:

    • HLD compliance
    • IC Rounding
    • IC Feedback Survey
    • Notifiable Conditions Reporting and Investigations
    • ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment) for new construction


  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Driver's License and access to reliable transportation
  • 2+ years of experience working with coordinating projects and programs, facilitating meeting or program or similar experience
  • 1+ year of experience using Microsoft Excel (data entry, sorting/filtering, basic formulas and importing data to excel)
  • Experience creating status reports and presentations
  • Microsoft Power Point experience- creating presentations
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Must be willing to travel to local Optum Care WA sites or locations. Between Everrett WA and Seattle WA



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Microsoft Project experience
  • Call center experience
  • Experience with IT document writing
  • IT testing experience
  • Microsoft Access experience or knowledge



The hourly range for this role is $19.86 to $38.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
