| Primary Purpose of Position |
JSNN is looking for a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team in the field of 2D material-based devices and their integration with advanced packaging technologies.
This position will focus on developing devices that use 2D materials and integrating them into packaging solutions to improve device performance, reliability, and scalability for emerging applications in electronics, optoelectronics, and flexible systems. |
| Primary Function of Organizational Unit |
The Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering (
JSNN), is an academic collaboration between North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NC A&T) and The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (
UNCG).
JSNN builds on the strengths of the universities to offer innovative, cross-disciplinary graduate programs in the emerging areas of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering. |
| Minimum Requirements |
Ph.D. in Nanoscience, Nanoengineering, Materials Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in the fabrication and characterization of 2D materials and devices.
Strong experience in cleanroom processes, including lithography, deposition, and etching, is highly desirable.
Proficiency in analytical tools like
SEM,
TEM,
XPS, or
FIB for material and interface analysis
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. |

Experience in the integration of 2D materials with complementary materials, such as metals, semiconductors, or polymers.
Experience in advanced packaging techniques, such as flip-chip, wafer bonding, or encapsulation.
Familiarity with thermal and mechanical modeling tools. |
