Job Summary

Lead the Marketing Research and Analytics group to provide business value through actionable market and customer insights. Assists in the development and execution of strategies and tactics required to achieve business and market development goals using research and customer sentiment metrics through actionable customer analysis derived from the intersection of data, products and markets. Lead efforts to leverage data to understand customer behaviors and marketing tactics including customer and statistical analysis to influence strategy, segmentation and campaign execution to optimize marketing campaigns and tactics. This may include advising cross-functional teams of new insights and setting or monitoring KPIs that drive business growth. Interface and manage external partners, as needed.

Essential Functions




  • Managethird-party research firms and relationships.


  • Collaborate with internal business partners to identify, prioritize, design, execute, and communicate insights from ad hoc and regular tracking studies.
  • Translate research to create an actionable business plan.
  • Plan, develop, and establish policies and objectives of the organizations market research function.
  • Oversee the annual research, syndicated and transactional surveys, and budget development.
  • Ensure that existing intelligence is available for use in decision making throughout the organization and in external communications, as appropriate.
  • Deliver research findings and recommendations and provide ongoing consultation with business partners, including executives.
  • Plan, develop, and establish policies and objectives for the marketing analytics function. Includes helping drive business decisions regarding customer segmentation, go-to-market strategies and campaign optimization.
  • Oversee marketing technology platforms including those supporting marketing automation, survey distribution and analysis, and marketing workflow and productivity.
  • Deliver analytic findings and recommendations and provide ongoing consultation with business partners, including executives and contributions to business cases.
  • Build relationships across the organization to aide in integrating data into existing processes, systems, and work to identify ways to automate functions supporting a data-driven, 360 view of the customer organization.
  • Establishes strong relationships with third-party suppliers of syndicated data. Makes recommendations on how to use that data. (e.g. J.D. Power & Associates, Escalent and other consumer data).




Education Description




  • Requiresa bachelor's degree in a social science, economics, mathematics, marketing, business or related field with exposure to the social science research and evaluation functions.




    • Specific experience (as described below) of 7 or more years of direct involvement in research, data analytics, customer experience management, or other closely related field may be substituted for degree requirement.







Experience




  • Minimumof 7 years of experience with custom market research, data analysis, and/or market insights.


  • Demonstrated ability to execute simple statistical analysis using software such as Excel, SPSS, or SAS
  • Proven history of reviewing and designing research plans, questionnaires, surveys, focus group discussion guides, or other instruments for gathering data using varied techniques
  • Development and/or management of customer feedback tools, including the synthetization of insights from gathered data
  • Proven track record of leadership for a high-performing team including experience with employee development, real-time feedback and creating a positive culture.
