The Wholesale and OnDemand Sales Intern will be responsible for assisting the team with aspects of the Wholesale and OnDemand business, including lead generation, CRM database maintenance, new sales & new business development and supply analytics. This position will build and cultivate prospective relationships by initiating communications, data analysis, reports and conducting follow-up communications with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate movement of opportunities through the sales funnel.

In addition to learning basic sales skills, which are transferable to any future career, the intern will develop fuel supply, market intelligence, pricing and logistics industry expertise. This role will walk away with a working knowledge of Mansfield's industry position, our suppliers, and our customers.

Daily Activities

  • Work with the sales team to develop, grow, and prequalify the sales pipeline
  • Research markets and industries for companies to identify customers with potential fuel needs through sources such as Google, Zoominfo, Linkedin, and Sales Leads in Dynamcs CRM, etc.
  • Work with wholesale team on CRM Maintenance, market research and Maintain CRM database with lead information
  • Assist pricing team on all area's of pricing wholesale supply: including price letter review, price and volume metrics, contract compliance, analysis.
  • Understand prospective customers' needs and requirements; educate prospective customers on current Mansfield Wholesale supply markets, pricing options, and product offerings to effectively utilize these offerings to acquire a lead's business
  • Prospect leads through cold calls or targeted email campaigns and coordinate appointments with sales team for follow-up calls while maintaining a courteous and professional attitude
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the company's target market and sales cycle
  • Provide the sales teams with feedback and prospect insights that could be helpful in accelerating their sales success
