JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The College of Engineering is seeking an Assistant (Chancellor/Senior Administrator) to coordinate various high-level, confidential, and sensitive activities. This position will work collaboratively with administrative support staff across the Dean's Office (DO) and with college leadership, serving as the initial point of contact for College of Engineering constituents. This position regularly coordinates and communicates with external and internal stakeholders; therefore, the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to perform positively, respectfully, and professionally at all times. Communications include, but are not limited to, faculty, staff, students, parents, and university leadership.

The College of Engineering is supportive of flexible work arrangements when aligned with the ability to meet the needs of the unit and the essential duties of the position. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate, prioritize, and maintain schedules and calendar of meetings, appointments, and special projects for the Dean and other members of the DO.

  • Evaluate and prioritize requests, deadlines, and conflicting needs.

  • Oversee and coordinate Dean and Department Head searches.

  • Assist with coordinating work assignments for other Dean's Office support staff.

  • Oversee logistics for projects, events, and programs.

  • Develop and maintain Dean's Office Administrative Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Education:

  • This position requires an Associate's degree or higher plus four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • The successful candidate will demonstrate experience coordinating high-level executive meetings and creating agendas.

  • Attention to detail, organization, professionalism, integrity, proactiveness, and the ability to multitask are required.

  • The successful candidate must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$51,000.00 - $74,000.00
