Job Purpose Straughan Environmental, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time (hybrid) Environmental Analyst in our diverse Environmental Planning Team in our Columbia, Maryland headquarters. The successful candidate would have a primary focus on Noise and Air Quality studies. This role also offers opportunities to contribute to interdisciplinary projects involving Historic/Cultural Resources, Natural Resources, and the Socioeconomic environment. Aligned with Straughan's mission of "Advancing Sustainable and Resilient Communities," this position supports the team by conducting environmental inventories/assessments, participating in fieldwork (as needed), preparing MicroStation/GIS mapping and data analyses, coordinating with environmental regulatory agencies, and supporting the preparation of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Requirements
Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, GIS, Planning, Engineering, Public Administration, Communications, Urban Studies, Natural Resources, or a related field. Experience: Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both speech and writing are a must. In addition, candidates must be self-motivated and able to work in a multi-disciplinary, environmentally conscious, team environment.
