Job Summary
NetApp Data ONTAP, the leading storage operating system in the world, enables secure management of petabyte-scale enterprise on-premise and cloud storage. With customers around the world, delivering exceptional support is essential. In this role you will be a member of the Continuous Product Engineering (CPE) team providing top-tier software engineering support to global customers, with a primary focus on US customers using NetApp's on-premise and hybrid cloud storage solutions. As a member of the CPE team, you will provide engineering support to customer and field support staff, bringing your troubleshooting and debugging skills to bear against complex and challenging issues involving NetApp and other vendor products. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are an essential part of this role to ensure rapid resolution and customer satisfaction. You will respond to critical situations and ensure timely delivery of optimal results when customers have experienced an outage and/or where customer support is unable to provide resolution. You must be a "take-charge" professional, with demonstrated technical problem-solving skills, and have a strong customer service mindset. You will collaborate closely with and learn from senior engineers in CPE and development to ensure external clients' needs are met. Finding the root cause of customer issues may involve careful examination of system logs, core analysis, system traces, network packet traces and Data ONTAP or other source code. Your incredible ability to analyze problems and apply proper test tools and methods will create opportunities to improve the product and reduce future support costs. This is a regular daytime position but may entail some holiday, and/or weekend coverage in order to meet customer requirements. Job Requirements
