Photoshop for the Web is part of a larger initiative to expand Photoshop across multiple platforms and reach new designers. As a Software Quality Engineer, you will work closely with Product and Design partners to create innovative features and experiences. We are seeking a hardworking and self-motivated individual with proven industry experience in both black-box and white-box quality engineering. - Provide independent leadership of large product areas.
- Serve as a key resource for testing new features, diagnosing performance issues, and creating automation tests (end-to-end and performance-related).
- Serve as a role model and mentor for best test practices. Bring your valued experience to the table and help shape and educate a small team.
- Collaborate with distributed teams of designers, developers, and quality engineers to design and specify features.
- Think critically about user interactions and translate those insights into actionable items like stories and bugs.
- Plan and execute test activities for all aspects of a web-specific photo editing application.
- Create test cases (acceptance, performance, functional, etc.) to ensure proper functionality of all implemented features.
- Perform hands-on testing of daily builds across multiple Web platforms as well as on diverse device types.
- Work closely with web development teams to ensure alignment and share ideas for enhancing tests.
- File accurate, comprehensive bug reports, and verify fixes.
- Operate in an agile development environment, coordinating with other teams to ensure smooth workflows across the app experience.
- Take accountability and ownership for all assigned tasks.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of equivalent Quality Engineering (QE) industry experience.
- Experience testing complex web-based applications on Mac and Windows platforms.
- High proficiency with Photoshop.
- Passion for testing software and excitement for technology.
- Demonstrated knowledge of QE methodologies, processes, and tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and achieve results with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to move between tasks and collaborate across teams.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $109,000 -- $215,000 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience.
