SUMMARY:
A multi-skilled, mechanically proficient technician responsible for providing focused and competent maintenance support while demonstrating technical expertise as a highly developed troubleshooting electrical technician. This role involves:
  • Following and enforcing the National Electrical Code (NFPA 79).
  • Maintaining responsibilities and performance requirements within all fields of the Maintenance team, including all requirements for Technician levels I & II.
  • Mentoring and training apprentice (unlicensed) electricians.
  • Demonstrating technical engineering expertise and utilizing effective root cause analysis methods.
  • Advocating for electrical safety programs and being trained on all electrical hazards.
  • Engaging in continuous job-related training.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Diagnose PLC and HMI programs (Load, modify, create)
  • Understand, troubleshoot, and problem solve issues of intermediate complexity in advanced electrical/mechanical systems (PLC, Drives, Servo, HMI, CNC, etc.)
  • Understand advanced and complex functions of production CNC machining equipment
  • Understand the principles of circuit interruption, switch functions, and trip curves of circuit breakers, components of a switchgear assembly, and related preventive maintenance requirements
  • Test, overhaul, and perform preventive maintenance on low voltage circuit breakers
  • Troubleshoot, inspect, and clean components in motor controllers
  • Advanced competency in root cause analysis evaluations
  • Mentor/coach/lead other technicians
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • 2 year Associate Degree in a related technical field or equivalent past work experience
  • Multi-skilled technician satisfied by demonstrated technical expertise in advanced electrical maintenance functions
  • Ability to work in a team environment and self-direct activities
  • Excellent electrical troubleshooting, reasoning, and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to manage vital maintenance functions to maximize corporate assets
COMPENSATION:
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process.
Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $29.70 - $36.71

PROFIT SHARING: In 2025 Andersen has set a profit sharing target of $3,500 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
