Job Summary
The Business Operations Manager for Perioperative Services will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing the operational efficiency of the perioperative department. This position involves overseeing budget monitoring and financial performance, data analysis, project management, performance dashboard creation, and task management. The manager will work closely with the Director of Business Operations to drive operational improvements, mentor new team members, and ensure effective alignment of financial and operational processes. A focus on budget performance, charge capture processes, and vendor management will be central to the role, as will providing leadership support and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities
* Budget Monitoring & Financial Performance Oversight:
* Oversee budget development, monitoring, and evaluation to ensure financial performance aligns with departmental goal
* Track key financial metrics and provide detailed analysis to identify variances, trends, and areas for improvement.
* Coordinate with the Director of Business Operations to implement strategies to address financial gaps.
* Project Management:
* Lead and manage cross-functional projects, ensuring timely and successful execution. Develop and oversee project plans, ensuring milestones, timelines, and deliverables are met. Communicate project progress and outcomes to stakeholders.
* Data Analysis & Performance Dashboards:

* Analyze financial and operational data to provide insights that inform decision-making and improve efficiency. Develop and maintain performance dashboards to track key operational metrics.
* Present data findings to leadership and recommend actionable steps based on analysis. Task Initiation & Management:
* Manage day-to-day operational tasks, ensuring efficient execution and coordination.

* Implement strategies to minimize performance inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement. Vendor Management & Performance Evaluation:
* Oversee vendor relationships and performance to ensure adherence to contracts and service agreements. Monitor vendor performance and provide feedback to ensure the quality and cost-effectiveness of services. Charge Capture & Process Improvement:
* Oversee charge capture processes to ensure accurate and timely billing.

* Work to streamline charge capture workflows and address issues related to undercharging, missed charges, or inefficiencies

* Recommend process improvements to optimize revenue cycle operations and financial performance. Leadership Support:
* Support the Director of Business Operations in strategic planning and operational decision-making.

* Assist with the development of departmental goals and initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader organizational objectives. Additional Duties:
* Perform other duties as required to support the operational and financial success of the perioperative services department.

* Lead initiatives that enhance the financial performance, operational efficiency, and overall business operations of the perioperative services team.

Education
Required:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in business analysis, financial management, or operations, with a strong preference for candidates with perioperative experience.

Proven experience in project management, including all aspects of process development and execution.

Preferred:
Healthcare experience, particularly within a perioperative or clinical environment, is highly preferred.

Skills/Certs/License
Required:
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data to non-financial stakeholders. Experience with budget development, monitoring, and financial performance analysis.
Ability to mentor and support a team, fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous learning. Proficiency with data analysis tools and performance management software.
Knowledge of charge capture processes and revenue cycle management.
