Overview Seeking a new career challenge? Then Woolpert is seeking you! Woolpert is hiring a Business Intelligence Intern to work remotely. This position reports to the Director of Data Analytics and is responsible for providing analytical support to the data and analytics team. Qualified candidates will be detail oriented, analytical, and eager to gain hands-on experience. Priority will be given to candidates who have used Power BI previously, have a strong analytical background and are eager to learn best practices and new technologies. Responsibilities As a Business Intelligence Intern at Woolpert, you will:
* Working with the Data and Analytics team to build documentation around current data models and existing reports and structures.
* Work closely with internal stakeholders to help build, document and deploy a new holistic data model
* Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
* Assist in data modeling, cleansing, and transformation to support reporting needs
* Write SQL queries to extract and analyze data from relational databases
* Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to understand data pipelines and business requirements
* Support data quality efforts and identify inconsistencies or gaps in reporting
* Present insights and findings to stakeholders in a clear, concise manner Qualifications Minimum Requirements
* Education/Experience: Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Some experience with SQL and data visualization tools (classwork counts)
* Understanding of basic data structures and analytics concepts
* Software: Microsoft Office, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, SQL Server, T-SQL
Preferred Skills and Abilities
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Interest in finance operations, data integrity, and process improvement.
