Additional Compensation Details:

• Potential 90-day performance-based raise

The Role

This position will assist with unloading and receiving products, stocking items by hand or with material handling equipment, prepare and complete receiving paperwork. The Inventory Control Specialist will audit inbound and outbound products to ensure accuracy of inventory levels. This position is versatile, and the individual must be open to a variety of job duties including but not limited to, picking, replenishing, daily and month end inventory counts, Stock adjustments to audit and resolve inventory discrepancies. This person must have sensory capabilities to avoid accidents as the warehouse environment involves fast-moving forklifts and other mechanical equipment.

Essential Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To

• Monitor email, company cell phone or radio communications and respond to requests with the highest level of Customer Service.
• Responsible for the weekly inventory management of Carton Yard Inventory for proper storage of all fiber (corrugated, plastic bags, labels, twist ties, rubber band tags, and other packaging materials) as needed. Scan tags and verify physical counts while following FIFO standards.
• Working in tandem with purchasing dept. to assure that all fiber supplies have been verified and cost approved for vendors.
• Responsible for ongoing and weekly inventory cycle counts of fiber materials and other products.
• Resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Make certain that all inventory is safely organized and easily accessible to all based on forecasting needs.
• Account for any damaged boxes or product.
• Communicate all issues with facility and fiber team leaders.
• Ensure fiber storage areas are free of debris, garbage, and loose pallets.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

• Must be flexible and able to deal with a variety of details simultaneously.
• Must have proven conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
• Must be skilled in time management and be capable of meeting work schedule deadlines.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Reliable; consistently at work and on time.
• 2+ year sit-down forklift experience.
• 2+ years of Inventory Control experience a plus.
• Must be able to identify material quality upon receipt, count and have basic math skills.
• Experience with inventory computer systems.
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated to complete daily tasks with minimal supervision and multi-task.
• Must have excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented.
• The ability to work well with others by building cooperative relationships with other departments.
• Intermediate computer skills in Excel/Word/Outlook.
• Must be able to work overtime when business requires, i.e. busy seasons, vacation coverage, etc.
• Must have sensory capabilities to avoid accidents as warehouse environment involves fast moving forklift and power jack equipment
