Salesforce Inc. seeks Software Engineering SMTS in Indianapolis, IN: Job Duties: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. Build scalable, elastic services, capable of running in private Salesforce data centers and in public clouds. Design and develop high-quality code to improve platform reliability, availability, and scalability. Design, implement and tune robust APIs and API framework-related features that perform and scale in a multi-tenant environment. Build efficient components/algorithms to serve high volume of requests with low latencies and handle large data sets in the cloud. Design and implement intelligent and thorough testing strategies to ensure quality delivery. Automate operational tasks to allow us to operate services at world-scale. Continuously integrate and deploy your code, monitor it in the live service and learn through data-driven feedback loops on how to improve it. Participate in the team's on-call rotation to address complex problems in real-time and keep services operational and highly available. HQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in Indianapolis: 433 North Capitol Avenue, 36 South Pennsylvania Street, 1 East Ohio Street, 111 Monument Circle. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in Indianapolis. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field. A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)). Special Skill Requirements: (1) High Performance Multi-Threaded Computing; (2) Algorithms for data processing; (3) Microsoft .NET Development; (4) gRPC; (5) Protocol Buffers; (6) Big Data Software Architectures; (7) Apache Kafka; (8) Apache Parquet; (9) SQL Server; (10) Kubernetes; (11) Docker; (12) Spinnaker; (13) Prometheus; (14) Helm; (15) AWS S3; (16) Grafana (17) Java; (18) Redis; and (19) RESTful APIs.
