Job Summary
Works directly to support VP, State Markets and Director, Medicaid Operations along with the highly collaborative Medicaid Operations team, serving in a consulting and advisor role to develop policies, processes, and business practices to optimize administrative efficiencies and assure regulatory compliance with state and federal agencies. Demonstrates proficient understanding of business operations, Medicaid regulations, and initiatives including those requiring collaboration with both internal and external partners. Provides support in identifying opportunities to improve the cost effectiveness and administrative efficiency of Priority Health Medicaid Operations. Provides additional liaison support with the State of Michigan to ensure continuity and proactive awareness/involvement in Medicaid programmatic and regulatory changes. Exercises critical thinking to determine best approach to strategic assignments.
Essential Functions
  • Works with the VP, State Markets and Director, Medicaid Operations and leadership team across the organization to influence and coordinate new initiatives.
  • Observes and works alongside the management team within Medicaid operations. Communicates, collaborates, networks with and acts as a consultant to key stakeholders in order to ensure continuity and coordination of services and appropriate utilization of resources.
  • Coordinate projects or gather information across organization, working collaboratively and in a team environment to prepare a cohesive, broad view of topic. Manages timelines and budgets as appropriate for a project or program, as needed.
  • Maintain a proficient understanding of Medicaid operations and regulations to provide support to leadership by participating in critical meetings
  • Works independently and demonstrates excellent time management skills. Independently maintains accountability for completion of assigned projects.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Business, health care or related field
  • 7 years of relevant experience Business function or other related experience and background
