Job Description

We are currently hiring a People Operations Specialist in Boston, MA.

*A Hybrid position at Boston Beer requires that our coworkers reside within commuting distance to be onsite 3 days a week (Tuesday - Thursday).

The People Operations Specialist is responsible for the administration of BBC's HRIS Oracle HCM Suite in addition to other systems. This position serves as the primary point of contact for operational support for the People Operations & Technology team and HR Business SMEs by managing the People Operations Mailbox and ensuring timely response to internal customers and business stakeholders.

What You'll Brew:

HRIS Operations Ownership



  • Serves as primary support for the People Operations & Technology team managing day-to-day operations of Boston Beers HRIS technology suite (Including - New Hire, Terminations, Promotions, Position Management, and more.)
  • Key point-of-contact to support and troubleshoot HRIS operations, includes timely research and resolution to HRIS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements
  • Manage coworker information and transactions involving payroll support
  • Maintain data integrity in HRIS systems by performing audit procedure reviews
  • Participate in continuous improvement of policies and processes that require People Operations execution
  • Troubleshooting production issues and thinking critically in pressure situations


Reporting



  • Assist and learn to develop, maintain and support a variety of reports using appropriate reporting tools. Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing SME Business needs
  • Provide monthly or ongoing/on-demand reporting to the HR /business teams and ad hoc reporting as requested by HR and/or the business


Audit & Compliance



  • Follow-through on established audit protocols and ensure that ongoing audits of HR data in HRIS Systems occur on defined cadence.
  • Assist troubleshooting root causes of audit issues to resolution to ensure issues do not occur again in future
  • Validate entries made into Oracle HCM against ADP payroll registers, serving as an internal control to ensure data entered is accurate and timely
  • Comply with all Data Privacy Laws


Customer Service & General Administration



  • Manage unemployment claims and employee verification process
  • Customer-service focused with timely responses to customer inquiries
  • Timely response to internal requests made by the business
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and effectively liaison between Business SME's
  • Manage the help-desk ticketing process related to People Operations


Teamwork



  • Building and maintaining relationships within HR and to core HR customers (Payroll, Accounting, IT, etc.)
  • Continuous improvement mindset and seek ways to extract more value from the system through user groups, tech conferences, etc.


What Ingredients You'll Bring:

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:



  • 1+ years of HR administration/operational experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong experience with and affinity for data integrity and HR systems
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving competencies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with a variety of people/groups, internally and externally
  • Ability to work in a team environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, adapt quickly to changes and the discipline to complete last minute requests as needed
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently and the initiative to handle increasing responsibility over time
  • Ability to follow through with open issues until resolved
  • Excellent judgment is required to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to sustain routine daily tasks
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Strong proficiency in all MS Office programs, specifically Microsoft Excel


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelors Degree
  • HR Certification
  • Oracle's HCM Fusion Cloud Suite
  • UKG Pro Workforce Management


Level: 8

At the Boston Beer Company and in accordance with pay transparency laws, we are open about our salary ranges. In accordance with pay transparency laws the pay rate for this role if hired is $23.03 - $43.56 per hour. However, it's important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location.
