Your role.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Preparation of journal entries and workpapers
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements
  • Review of monthly recurring, non-recurring and entity specific journal entries and workpapers for proper accounting treatment and support
  • Involvement in development of annual financial plan, monitoring results and reporting on KPI's
  • Preparation of workpapers and supporting documents for any required regulatory filings
  • Analytic review of variances between actual results and prior year or annual plan
  • Preparation of various Management reports
  • Preparation of ad hoc reports, projections, and data analysis
  • Preparation and coordination for periodic partner/member distributions
  • Research technical accounting matters and draft related whitepapers or memos
  • Analyze and coordinate payment of intercompany balances
  • Monitor compliance with any regulatory financial metrics including net capital, liquidity, and other requirements
  • Responsible for reading operating agreements, partner admission/withdrawal agreements, and other legal documents relative to entity operations to assure transactions are accounted for properly.
  • Other duties may include tax preparation, assisting with external audit preparation, and other special projects

The qualifications.

  • 3-8 years of financial reporting accounting and/or tax experience a minimum
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • CPA required
  • MBA a plus
  • Experience with Financial Reporting Systems
  • Experience with budget and forecast with analysis
  • Experience or interest in tax return preparation is a plus
  • Strong Technical skills with Microsoft products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required to promote positive working relationships and explain/interpret accounting information to non-financial people

This position within Internal Accounting will include maintaining the general ledger including journal entries, preparation of workpapers and applying principles of accounting. The position will also be involved in financial reporting and analysis of financial results for areas of responsibility in P&M Holding Group Affiliated Entities. Annual financial plan involvement from creation, analysis, presentation and project management of plan process are also a responsibility of this role. The role consists of preparation of various financial statements such as Balance Sheet and PM specific income statements, as well as management reports with analysis on results of operations with explanations of trends or other pertinent data.

Salary Class

Salary
We are pleased to offer eligible staff a robust benefits package. Eligibility and contribution requirements for some of these benefits vary based on the number of hours staff work per week. Highlights include health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance. These standard offerings are effective on the first of the month following your start date. In addition to this, eligible staff are able to take advantage of our Flexible Time Off and various pre-determined holidays as well as a 401(k) plan, flexible benefits plans, business-related travel expense, lodging and meal reimbursement for business-related use. A Pension plan is also available for eligible administrative and paraprofessional staff. A discretionary bonus plan is available for eligible staff. Plante Moran also offers Interns and Contractors the option to elect health insurance under our contingent staff medical plan as of the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment in addition to limited paid time sick time. Seasonal staff are not eligible for benefits.

Compensation is commensurate with technical skills and experience is provided in accordance with applicable state requirement. Compensation information posted is based on a position being located in the state of CO or IL. Please review theposition location for theapplicable geographic location.

Colorado monthly base range is as follows:

$6,500.00 to $7,666.67

Illinois monthly base range is as follows:

$6,666.67 to $7,833.33
