PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Responsible for business development and strategic growth of Manito Transit and the GROWMARK Tank & Truck Center as well as providing support for driver recruitment to the GROWMARK Human Resources Talent Acquisition team. This includes identifying and developing new markets, cultivating external business opportunities, recruiting and retaining qualified drivers, and contributing to the overall vision and financial performance of both entities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Develops and executes sales and business development strategies to drive growth through new customer acquisition and market expansion.

Collaborates with GROWMARK Human Resources Talent Acquisition team to develop strategies to recruit new drivers to Manito Transit. Coordinates with Dispatch and Fleet Operations Managers to align recruitment strategies with operational demand.

Partners with HR Talent Acquisition and Marketing teams to align employer branding, recruitment campaigns, and driver engagement efforts.

Identifies, analyzes, and pursues new market opportunities that support the long-term strategic goals of the Logistics Division.

Builds and maintains strong relationships with prospective and existing customers, leveraging insights and service capabilities to deliver tailored solutions.

Collaborates with operations and dispatch teams to ensure alignment between business development objectives and daily execution.

Contributes to strategic planning efforts for Manito Transit and the Tank & Truck Center, helping shape organizational direction and performance initiatives.

Conducts competitive analysis, industry benchmarking, and business planning to position both entities for sustainable growth and innovation.

Stays current on industry trends, competitor activity, regulatory changes, and transportation innovations to inform business strategy.

Represents Manito Transit and the Tank & Truck Center at customer meetings, networking events, and industry functions to promote capabilities, build brand visibility and recruit drivers where possible.

Partners with Tank & Truck Center management to help identify opportunities for equipment sales, repairs, and service enhancements based on customer feedback and market needs.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Responsible for encouraging, supporting, and promoting innovative practices, ideas, and technologies within the team.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Marketing, or a related field, or the equivalent thereof, along with 6 years or more of relevant experience in logistics, transportation, driver recruitment, or business development.

Demonstrates expertise in transportation operations, recruiting strategies, third-party logistics, customer relationship development, and strategic planning.

Strong leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across teams and functions.

Proven ability to plan, organize, and execute strategies that align with broader organizational goals.

Excellent communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

Must be able to travel independently, frequently, and overnight as required.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK and Manito Transit policies, systems, and programs.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
