At Invoca, we are launching a brand-new team to pioneer the future of conversational AI, and we're looking for passionate engineers to join us.   Build What's Next: You will have end-to-end responsibility for complex projects, building new product capabilities from scratch and making key "buy vs. build" decisions to deliver value quickly.

  Drive Technical Excellence: You'll build new functionality within our existing monolith and create external services where appropriate. You will also have the opportunity to propose and drive the adoption of new technologies and architectures.

  Lead and Mentor: You'll provide leadership within a self-sufficient team that includes a dedicated Product Manager and Tech Lead. You will also coach and mentor those around you, helping them grow while reinforcing your own knowledge.

We are looking for an experienced and collaborative engineer who is excited by the prospect of solving new challenges in asynchronous messaging.

  Extensive Engineering Experience: You have 9+ years of software development experience, with a proven background in a B2B SaaS or enterprise-level software environment.

  AI and Chatbot Expertise: You have hands-on experience working in an AI chatbot/Agentic AI environment and have built conversational chatbots.

  Technical Versatility: You have experience (or a strong interest) in some of our primary technologies, such as Ruby on Rails (or similar frameworks), MySQL/PostgreSQL, React/GraphQL, and HTML/CSS/JavaScript.

  Strong Foundations: You possess a solid understanding of database fundamentals and design, along with competence in skills beyond pure coding, such as monitoring, performance optimization, integration testing, and security.

  Agile Mindset: You have experience working on an agile team and a demonstrated passion for iterative software development, including a strong "build vs. buy" evaluation mindset.

• Position Base Range - Salary Range $127,000 - $191,000/year plus bonus potential
