We are adding a Compensation Manager to our Total Rewards Team! The ideal candidate will be accountable for the evaluation, planning, design and communication of reward programs and policies for employees that support the strategies and objectives of the organization to attract, retain, develop, deploy and motivate employees while being cost-effective. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the evaluation, planning, developing, and implementation of all non-sales related compensation programs for employees, including short-term/annual incentives, job evaluation, organization structure and pay structures, salary administration policies and procedures and reward programs. Ensures that such programs are aligned to the Company's philosophy.
- Responsible for the evaluation, planning, development and administration of service awards.
- Serves as a thought leader in the design and ongoing administration of compensation programs. Works with leaders in the creation of Compensation Committee materials.
- Serves as the expert for total remuneration and rewards by researching and staying up-to-date on current practices and trends. Leads design and makes recommendations for change to ensure the organization's compensation practices are competitive within the marketplace.
- Influences all levels of leadership in the design and implementation of reward programs that align with the organization's long term and short term goals.
- Maintains a liaison relationship and provide support, counsel and assistance to leadership in implementing and administering compensation programs, policies, and practices.
- Provides reward program expertise and counsel to management and employees in a timely, accurate, and highly-responsive manner.
- Proactively identifies opportunities for improvements and independently solve complex problems.
- Partners with business leaders and HR to ensure that reward practices align employees with the business direction and drive achievement of desired business objectives.
- Advises and counsels management and other HR professionals on compensation trends, legal requirements, and new developments. Provide advice and coaching to team, HR and business partners on all aspects of compensation. Assists with creation of training materials, as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises assigned employees including staff selection and training; planning, assigning and directing work; conducting performance reviews; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum performance levels and career development. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field;
- Six (6) years of progressive general business experience that encompasses a working knowledge of compensation, management theory and practice, human relations and organizational structure and dynamics.
- CCP, SPHR certification preferred.
COMPETENCIES
- Leadership skills needed to provide direction to staff, management and other human resources professionals in the area of total rewards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates a mastery of consulting by effectively leading multiple projects, providing consulting, and interacting with senior management.
- Must have an in-depth knowledge of the theories and practices of compensation. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
- Must have the ability to work independently and/or lead teams, as well as provide creative solutions to business issues related to compensation.
- Must have expertise in incentive program design, job analysis, job evaluation and market pricing.
- Must have knowledge and understanding of financial measures, accounting and tax, and modeling to design effective incentive programs.
- Knowledge of the accounting, IRS, FLSA, and other regulations affecting incentive programs is essential.
- Proficiency in analytical modeling.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including strong presentation skills are needed to work in and lead teams.
- A self-directed, strategic, innovative and systematic thinker, with the orientation and ability to assess existing compensation-related programs, plan future related programs, and continually evaluate the cost, quality, and competitiveness of the Company's approach to these programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and an enterprise resource planning (ERP) program
