Weston is seeking an Equipment Manager (EM) that will be responsible for the oversight and optimization of Weston equipment. The position will ensure that all field equipment and vehicles are in good working order and compliant with all maintenance standards. In addition, the EM is responsible for the assignment and billing of equipment to meet project needs and in compliance with WESTON Equipment Stores approved practices and procedures.

The following are the highest priority responsibilities:

  • Manage the business of Equipment Rental including all revenue and costs
  • Monitor and account for regional field equipment.
  • Maximize utilization of regional equipment and ensure accurate and timely
    charging to projects.
  • Performing and documenting all equipment calibration and maintenance.
  • Provide input for quarterly capital requests.
  • Manage company- wide fleet vehicles and trailers. Ensuring maintenance is performed and safety checks are completed monthly.

Position Accountability and Duties:

  • Supervise daily activities of inventory and maintenance technicians.
  • Maintaining records on each piece of equipment to track utilization, performance, and maintenance to ensure all equipment is safe and reliable.
  • Overall business management including supporting WESTON project equipment needs, capital planning, vendor management, appropriate procurement and vendor payments.
  • Compliance with all WESTON policies and procedures and government DOT shipping and transportation requirement.
  • Creating and maintaining the internal systems (Equip Track, RES Portal) that are used to establish inventory pricing, support inventory tracking and internal billing to projects Manage the team and provides feedback, career development and schedule/instruction of position training.
  • Manage and train personnel on ELD's and Fleet Management System. Coaching personnel on any behavioral habits on driving issues.
  • Maximize utilization of RES assets and equipment and coordinate purchases of the same.
  • Review and approve or disapprove credit requests on rental equipment.
  • Coordinate financial planning and capital equipment with National Equipment Manager and ES& T Controller.
  • Communicate and set up meetings with Project Fields Teams on Equipment issues and discrepancies. Inform project teams of lessons learned on tips of dos and don'ts when operating and maintaining equipment.

Level of Autonomy:

  • Make routine and daily decisions on equipment requests, rejections and any related mobilization and demobilization of equipment requests.
  • Must be a good communicator. Able to speak with large and small teams about Equipment Store Policies and work with Project Mangers on requirements needed for project field use.
  • Revenue: $500k-$1m/annually; costs: $400-700k/annually

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5 years' experience.
  • Prior Training/Skills required - Electronic repair skills.
  • Familiar with Health and Safety monitoring instruments.
  • Safe driving record
  • Mechanical ability with pumps, gauges and small engines.
  • Business Management experience

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

Salary Range: $71,135-$93,890-$116,543
