Are you looking to kickstart your career and gain experience in a dynamic, real-world environment? Central Life Sciences in Dallas, TX is seeking a Continuous Improvement Intern! This is a hands-on position, where the candidate will have the opportunity to work on real-life projects in support of our manufacturing facility.

This paid, 8-week summer internship will help the candidate gain valuable experience in a professional setting and will have the opportunity of interacting with teams across the organization and other interns.

Position: Continuous Improvement Intern

Location: 12111 Ford Road, Dallas, TX

Shift: Onsite Monday-Friday, 8am to 4:30pm

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to review, revise, create, and upload (catalogue) technical writing documents. Technical documents may include line/machine PMs (Planned Maintenance), cleaning procedures, Principle of Operations, Line operations or basic related communications. Detailed records of writing will need to be kept, catalogued, and uploaded into appropriate plant databases and/or management systems (i.e Asset Essentials, Shop logix, etc.).
  • Participate in CI, maintenance dept meetings and cross departmental meetings to document discussions and aid in creating and updating standard documentation.
  • Work with the Project Manager or other SME (Subject Matter Experts) on the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
  • Provide bi-weekly project progress updates to CI team & maintenance manager as well as a monthly summary to the site Leadership team.
  • Uphold compliance with applicable policies, laws and regulations issued by Central Life Sciences, OSHA, EPA, and other federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current sophomore, junior or senior
  • Pursuing degree in Engineering, Business, Management, Data Management, or related degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio
  • Have the right to work in the U.S without restrictions.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Normal office and manufacturing environment that require safety gear
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs occasionally
