Are you a Systems Engineer with a passion for cloud-based solutions? The Gladiator Network Service team is looking for a Systems Engineer to join our hosted solutions group. Gladiator is known for providing all of its Jack Henry branded clients with top tier network, system and cloud technologies as well as an excellent customer experience.

You will work with a team of 13 Engineers that bring various levels of expertise. You will need to be able to work collaboratively in conjunction with teammates and have your hands in multiple systems and technologies. No two days are the same! The technical environment you will support is Windows Server based utilizing a mix of VMware, Cloud, Network Storage, and Backup Solutions.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Troubleshoot and investigate nonfunctional servers and software, including global outages and high-impact scenarios.
  • Provides phone support to employees or direct customers.
  • Work directly and indirectly with Vendor support to troubleshoot and own the outcome of all cases.
  • Work collaboratively with teammates to solve client issues and deliver top-notch customer service.
  • Analyzes topologies to determine potential issues and makes suggestions for recommended changes.
  • Corresponds with customer and other divisions within the company to ensure all customer concerns and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Support customers' on-premise environments through remote solutions.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have:

  • Minimum of 18 months of experience in any of the following: systems administration, vulnerability findings/scanning, or creating, editing, and applying GPO's.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to effectively communicate security and risk-related concepts to technical and non-technical audiences & all layers of management across the organization.
  • Experience with Vulnerability management and Server Hardening.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Experience with Change Management processes.
  • Security certifications (e.g. Security+, GCIA, GCIH, CISSP, CEH, CISM, CISA).
  • Ability to work under stress, with the flexibility to handle multiple high-pressure situations simultaneously.
  • Experience working with any enterprise-level vulnerability scanners such as Tenable Nessus scanner, Retina Network Security Scanner, Qualys Vulnerability Management, Beyond Trust Retina Scanner or other enterprise level vulnerability scanners is essential.
  • Experience with Web Server or Web Services.
  • Experience with SQL.
