Lube Technician/Entry Level Mechanic

Position Overview

Heart of Florida Landfill, a Waste Connections site, is seeking a Lube Technician to perform preventative maintenance on our fleet of garbage trucks and heavy equipment. If you have 1+ years of experience working on heavy diesel trucks or have completed a Diesel Technology program, we encourage you to apply.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• 40 to 50 hours per week
• Some Saturday work may be required

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment
• Perform maintenance-related tasks as needed
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with OSHA and company standards
• Follow all established safety procedures
• Communicate clearly about needed repairs or tasks

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in heavy truck/equipment maintenance and repair, or completion of a diesel tech program
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing vehicles and equipment
• Ability to read and understand service and technical documentation
