We are seeking a Channels Manager to develop, manage, and grow our distribution network including dealers, shipyards, and resellers. This is not a commissioned sales role and there are no direct reports. The Channels Manager develops the number of distribution channel partners and helps our sales team drive sales and performance in the marine engine, power generation, and industrial sectors. This essential leadership role supports critical industries, including marine transportation, industrial power systems, and global supply chains that sustain essential infrastructure and services worldwide.

Proven Channel Strategist: You have a track record of developing new, managing existing, and growing dealer networks and channel business partnerships to enable revenue growth and market expansion.

Sales & Service Growth Driver: You excel at optimizing channel strategies to enhance partner performance, enable the both company's sales teams, and improve market coverage.

Relationship Builder & Influencer: You thrive on building long-term relationships, negotiating dealer relationship contracts, and engaging dealers with technical and sales training to help them succeed.

Data-Driven Planner: You use performance data analytics, scorecards, market insights, and customer feedback to refine strategies and drive improvements.

Adaptable & Travel-Ready: You're comfortable in dynamic environments and willing to travel domestically (up to 50%).

About the Role

As a Channels Manager, you will:

  • Develop and Manage Dealer Strategy: Build, manage, and expand a high-performing dealer and distribution network to drive overall partner business metrics including promotions, inventory turns, and resale margins.
  • Optimize Dealer Performance: Establish KPIs, monitor dealer performance, and implement improvement strategies to enhance market coverage.
  • Identify New Channel Opportunities: Expand or create new partnerships in alignment with our business growth targets.
  • Provide Technical & Sales Training: Ensure our sales team and our independent dealers and channel partners have the tools and knowledge to succeed.
  • Monitor Market Trends & Competition: Adjust strategies based on market trends you research, competitor activities, and end user needs.
  • Drive Revenue Growth: Guide our sales team and the dealer's sales team to achieve overall company objectives.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with our sales, engineering, marketing, and service teams to enhance channel performance.
  • Negotiate Dealer Agreements: Collaborate with our sales team and dealer owners to structure pricing, agreements, and incentives to maximize profitability.

Education & Experience Requirements

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in industry dealer management, or channel development.
  • Proven experience managing dealer networks and channel business/owner partnerships and metrics.
  • Strong understanding of engines, parts, and aftermarket MRO services.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Business Growth: Achieve revenue and channel coverage targets through channel business partnerships.
  • Performance: Monitor and optimize partner business KPIs to drive efficiency and growth.
  • Market Coverage: Expand and strengthen presence in new and existing target regions across the United States.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Support high service standards across networks both at our company and at our independent dealers.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $135,000 - $155,000 per year (DOE)
