Shift: Shift 1/8:00:00 AM to 4:30:00 PM

Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$38.48 - $50.01 / hour

About the Role

The Supervisor of Vascular Access oversees daily operations of our vascular access team at HealthPark, Lee Memorial, and Cape Coral Hospitals. Working collaboratively with another supervisor (based at Gulf Coast Medical Center), this role is essential in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.

Schedule: MondayFriday, 8-hour shifts (start time flexible based on department needs).

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Operations

  • Manage team scheduling, staffing, and daily workflow

  • Guide staff during complex access procedures

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policy and Florida Nurse Practice Act

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and quality teams

Clinical Oversight

  • Oversee assessment, insertion, and maintenance of PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs

  • Lead infection prevention efforts and troubleshoot complex IV access issues

  • Track outcomes and lead continuous quality improvement efforts

Education & Staff Development

  • Mentor staff and validate competencies

  • Provide ongoing education on best practices and new technologies

  • Promote team growth through development opportunities

Performance & Quality

  • Monitor and report KPIs for vascular access care

  • Drive evidence-based process improvements

Administrative & Financial

  • Assist with budgeting and resource planning

  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with billing

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred

Experience:

  • 2+ years of vascular access or related experience preferred

  • Leadership experience strongly preferred

  • Proficiency in PICC and ultrasound-guided insertions required

Licensure & Certification:

  • Current RN license in Florida

  • VA-BC or related certification preferred (or obtained within 2 years of hire)

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and communication

  • Expert clinical judgment and problem-solving

  • Knowledge of quality assurance and budgeting
