The Senior Associatereports to New York Life Investments' (NYLIM) Chief of Staff and will be part of a small team supporting the CEO of NYLIM across areas spanning internal and external communications, business management, and administration. The role offers a unique opportunity to work in the Executive Office at a top global asset manager and gain valuable industry experience and exposure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chief of Staff in executing on the CEO's internal and external communications and engagement plan. This includes:
    • Drafting high-quality PowerPoint presentations, memorandums, and email communications for a variety of internal and external audiences which deliver key messages.
    • Coordinating special events, including all colleague Town Halls and senior leadership forums
    • Preparing the CEO for engagements, including briefing memorandums and talking points, supported by analysis and desk-based research as needed
    • Gathering insights and supporting data from a wide range of internal teams, ensuring information is current and accurate.
  • Develop and implement processes to ensure smooth operations and ongoing organization of the CEO's office.
  • Serve as the lead and/or CEO's Office representative for projects supporting the asset management business, including employee engagement programming.
  • Work in close partnership with colleagues in Human Resources, Communications, Distribution, Strategy, Events, and Finance in fulfilling the above
  • Provide ad-hoc support to other asset management Executives on special projects, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree; ~5 years' experience in the asset management or financial services industry
  • Keen interest in learning about asset management and gaining a better understanding of how a CEO's office operates.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; strives to consistently deliver high-quality work in a timely manner.
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment that requires skilled multi-tasking.
  • Ability to think through all the required steps - large and small - to see a deliverable through to successful execution.
  • Practiced in simplifying complex concepts and messages down to the essential components so that they can be delivered effectively to a wide range of audiences.
  • Highly flexible and proactive with a "can-do" attitude and the ability to adjust priorities as circumstances dictate.
  • Exhibits professionalism and sound judgment with strong relationship management skills.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range:$85,500-$110,000

Overtime eligible:Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible:Yes

Sales bonus eligible:No

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
