Department:PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT Organizational Unit:Building Code Compliance (50000061) Position Type:Permanent Full Time/Part Time:Full Time CLOSE DATE: 05/10/2025 $2,625.59 to $2,888.15 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs professional work directing and coordinating functions of specially assigned programs and projects for the Planning & Development Department. Work involves coordinating all activities of a program or project which has operational responsibility of an extensive scope, has a large sized budget, and provides a critical County service. Work involves serving as a liaison with other County, State, Federal, and community agencies. Employees in this class are expected to coordinate and manage operations with considerable independence and initiative. REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Organizational Management, Political Science, Social Science, a field related to the area of assignment, or any closely related fieldPLUSsix (6) years of progressively responsible professional experience in administering or managing programs or projects in the area of assignment.Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.A Master's degree is preferred.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
