NS2 Mission is seeking Python Developers (Junior, Mid, and Senior levels) to support a high-impact program based in Herndon/Chantilly, VA. You'll be part of a collaborative Agile team working on modern, cloud-native software solutions using open-source technologies like PySpark, FastAPI, Docker, and AWS. Our developers take ownership at every level - from translating user stories and writing clean, testable code, to deploying containerized microservices in CI/CD pipelines. Open Positions: Junior Python Developer Experience: 1-3 years Responsibilities: Implement functionality in data processing applications. Work under guidance to interface with systems and integrate open-source tools. Translate requirements into user stories and participate in Agile sprints. Write unit tests and contribute to CI/CD pipelines. Develop APIs using FastAPI and similar frameworks. Package and deploy code in containerized (Docker-based) environments. Required Skills: Proficiency with Python and data libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, PySpark). Familiarity with FastAPI or similar frameworks for web API development. Experience writing automated tests using PyTest and Mocking tools. Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile processes. Preferred: Exposure to SQLAlchemy or other ORM tools. Familiarity with Docker and basic cloud deployment (AWS preferred). Mid-Level Python Developer Experience: 3-5 years Responsibilities: Design and implement software components and data interfaces. Collaborate with engineers to translate requirements into implementation. Lead development of APIs and modules within cloud-native apps. Ensure high code quality through testing and CI/CD integration. Package, test, and deploy solutions using Docker in cloud environments. Required Skills: Strong knowledge of Python libraries (PySpark, Pandas, NumPy). Hands-on experience with FastAPI and test automation frameworks. Working knowledge of Agile delivery models and version control systems. Preferred: Experience deploying Python applications in Docker and AWS. Familiarity with SQLAlchemy or similar ORMs. Ability to work semi-independently and guide junior developers. Senior Python Developer Experience: 7+ years Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and deployment of Python-based applications. Architect scalable, distributed systems using modern cloud and data tools. Drive code reviews, design discussions, and CI/CD implementation. Engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver robust solutions. Mentor junior team members and lead work decomposition within Agile ceremonies. Required Skills: Expert-level experience with Python and data processing libraries (e.g., PySpark, Pandas, NumPy). Extensive experience with FastAPI and automated testing in large-scale projects. Strong CI/CD knowledge with Docker, Git, and Agile team integration. Preferred: Demonstrated experience leading cloud deployments (AWS) and microservices. Experience with ORM tools (SQLAlchemy), container orchestration, and performance optimization.
