Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Utility Patrol in Bradley, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. This driving and armed post requires you to respond quickly and professionally to incidents, engage with visitors and employees, and provide excellent customer service. You will play an integral part in creating a welcoming environment while supporting the security-related needs of the location. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor the location for unusual activity and report findings according to site protocols.
  • Interact with employees, visitors, and contractors in a professional manner while maintaining a visible presence.
  • Comply with all legal requirements and company policies related to carrying and handling firearms while on duty.
  • Assist in access control by verifying credentials and/or identification as required by site procedures.
  • Support incident documentation and reporting, providing timely and accurate information to management and/or emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.

  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
