Responsibilities

Springwoods Behavioral Health, an 80-bed behavioral health facility located in Fayetteville, Arkansas, provides acute inpatient treatment for adolescent, adult, and specialty program for women. The hospital also offers outpatient treatment. Our six-acre campus is adjacent to a 123-acre Audubon Wildlife and Bird Sanctuary, which is held in perpetuity and cannot be developed from its natural state. This provides Springwoods with a peaceful setting for those embarked on the road to recovery.

Springwoods Behavioral Health is current recuriting for a Full-Time Utilization Management Coordinator.

The Utilization Review Coordinator monitors and coordinates appropriate documentation and utilization of services throughout the course of treatment for patients admitted to the inpatient and outpatient program and coordinates authorization for third party payors. The UM Coordinator also review cases for appropriateness of admission, continued stay, and discharge planning. They assist in promotion and maintenance of high quality patient care through review and evaluation of clinical practices. The UM coordinator will attend treatment team and provide communication based on documentation and verbal exchange regarding treatment. The UM coordinator will communicate with external entities to facilitate acquisition of resourses. The UM coordinator is responsible for monitoring and completing appeals and retrospective reviews for patients. Ensures appeals are sent out timely and assists the UM Director with other duties assigned.

The UM Case Coordinator coordinates the design, development, implementation, and monitoring of Springwoods Behavioral Health's utilization review functions. The UM Case Coordinator will achieve the goals of clinical, financial and utilization as set forth in the UM plan by effective management and communication. The UM Case Manager functions as the internal resource on issues related to the appropriate utilization of resources, coordination of care across the continuum and utilization review. The UM Case Coordinator is responsible for carrying out assignments in a manner to assure success in financial management, quality and operational management objectives. The UM Case Coordinator participates in program development and unit performance improvement. The UM Case Coordinator consistently demonstrates the core values and mission statement of Springwoods Behavioral Health.


Qualifications

Education: Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in social work, mental health or related field from accredited college or university required

Experience: A minimum of two (2) years' experience in health care case management or utilization review, psychiatric or mental health setting required.

Certification: Current, Valid State License (RN, LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT) Preferred
