Compensation

Salary Range: $58.97 - $89.96 per hour

The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.

Pay for PRN positions is calculated differently than Full-Time, Regular Part-Time, and Part-Time positions. PRN Rates depend on the position and other factors, including years of experience, or shift commitment according to the department policy. PRN differential is added in certain positions.



Responsibilities

The Sr Clinical Nursing Informatics Analyst serves as a subject matter expert on complex nursing workflows, ensuring they are effectively integrated into organizational systems and processes. The role collaborates with IT teams and clinical user groups to apply nursing standards, develop best practices, and implement solutions that enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

    In conjunction with Manager, Nursing Informatics, manages assigned activities of small to large size clinical nursing information systems projects including implementation on time, within budget, and in coordination of the project team.
  1. Performs educator functions through proctoring nursing online courses, training of in-person classes, and coordination of classes through external Healthstream application. Provides clear and concise training and documentation on operational processes. Meets with customers, internal and external, assuring documentation is clear and understood.
  2. Impartially analyzes new software enhancements identifying present and future business needs. Works with Manager, Nursing Informatics on training approach and communication to nursing.
  3. Performs consultative functions with nursing to maintain on-going user communication and support to ensure user competency with workflow. Rounds regularly on nursing units and collaboratively works with nursing leadership.
  4. Analyzes, identifies, evaluates and documents customer needs and current applications to determine system requirements and insure future needs for patient care, regulatory requirements and daily operations are met. Analyzes present processes/programs for enhancements to improve data integrity.
  5. Provides operational support for applications including data integrity, maintenance, training and vendor interaction.
  6. Assists customers in satisfying both ad-hoc and ongoing information needs. Demonstrates detail level knowledge of applications relating to assigned business areas.
  7. Responsible for timely and accurate problem resolution. Escalates problems to suitable resources, i.e., vendor, I.S. / Nursing Management, when required to assure timely resolution.
  8. Works with a results orientation, commitment to teamwork and a customer service focus. Obtains and coordinates resources as required to provide quality support.
  9. Advises and consults with all customers on the functional capabilities of various data bases and applications systems to enhance their productivity and ability to perform.
  10. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.
  11. Regularly updates knowledge and skills of techniques, guidelines and regulations.
  12. Maintains an awareness of current technology including other related areas of Information Services.
  13. Follows established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program and safety standards.
  14. Conducts job duties in accordance with departmental standards.
  15. Assists in implementing policies and procedures for the department operation.
  16. Demonstrates attitude of cooperation and professionalism.
  17. Exhibits a customer service focus in all relationships.
  18. Enhances professional growth through participation in educational programs, literature, meetings and workshops.
  19. Follows appropriate procedure for planning and arranging schedule changes, holidays and vacations.
  20. Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Minimum:
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Five (5) years of healthcare clinical informatics experience or hospital information systems experience
  • Current CA RN license
  • Current valid California Driver's license
  • Current and ongoing Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) that is insurable under Community Memorial Healthcare's insurance coverages

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Epic Nursing Clin Doc and Orders experience
  • Kronos Extensions and Advanced Scheduling
  • Healthstream Experience
  • Nursing Informatics Experience
  • Operational Workflow Experience
  • System training Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
